Correct use of VCE2755 magnetic encoder

The measurement accuracy of magnetic encoder depends not only on the chip itself,but also on the selection and installation of magnets.VCE2755 is a highly integrated rotary magnetic encoder chip based on anisotropic magnetoresistance(AMR)technology,which contains two AMR magnetic sensors and outputs sine and cosine signals varying with the magnetic field angle.
Correct use of micro-transmission VCE2755 magnetic encoder
1.Magnet selection:It is recommended to adopt a pair of cylindrical magnets with radial magnetization.The chip is installed on a fixed plane and cooperates with parallel rotating magnets to complete angle,speed and direction measurement.VCE2755 is pin-compatible with Infineon TLI5012.The existing design using TLI5012 can switch schemes under the condition that the hardware layout is basically unchanged,thus reducing the secondary development cost.
2.Distance control:AMR magnetoresistive sensor only needs to reach the threshold of the weakest magnetic field,and there is no limit of the strongest magnetic field.The closer the magnet is to the chip surface,the stronger the magnetic field is.It is suggested to shorten the spacing as much as possible to obtain the best effect.
3.Alignment requirements:The center of the magnet should be aligned with the center of the chip when using the positive axis of the magnetic encoder.Installation deviation will introduce angle error,and the smaller the magnet diameter,the more obvious the error,so the magnet with larger diameter is preferred when space permits.
