32-bit MCU peripheral expansion chip SQPI PSRAM

PSRAM is commonly known as pseudo-SRAM,and the memory core is designed based on DRAM particles,but the external interface logic is different from the standard SDRAM.SDRAM needs MCU to build complex control logic and software to participate in timing refresh.The PSRAM chip has a built-in hardware automatic refresh circuit,which does not need the intervention of the main controller in the refresh process,and the external logic is consistent with SRAM,greatly reducing the difficulty of software transplantation.
 

The PSRAM interface evolved from early parallel mode to serial mode,covering SPI,Quad SPI(QPI)and Octal SPI(OPI),with a bandwidth span of 100Mbps‑2.128Gbps,which can match MCU application scenarios with different speed levels.The capacity of SQPI PSRAM covers 4Mb,8Mb,16Mb,32Mb,64Mb and 128Mb,which is suitable for low power consumption.
 

We mainly promote SQPI PSRAM,and the storage array adopts DRAM 1T1C cell architecture.Compared with the 6T structure of traditional SRAM,1T1C unit wafer occupies smaller area,and can realize larger storage capacity under the same silicon area,thus effectively controlling BOM cost.A complete refresh control module is integrated in the chip,the external communication protocol is compatible with SPI SRAM,and the hardware interface logic is close to SPI NOR Flash.
