Intel CPU price increases by 10%across the board

At the end of March 2026,Intel officially announced a 10%increase in the price of CPU across the board,covering consumer-grade Core/Ultra series,enterprise-grade Xeon series and embedded chips,from entry to flagship.This is not a local adjustment,but a chain reaction of the whole industry chain under the outbreak of AI computing power.
 

The application of AI technology has entered the stage of large-scale reasoning,and the demand for CPU computing power in scenarios such as proxy AI and retrieval enhanced generation has surged.Every high-end AI network server comes standard with"8GPU+2CPU",and cloud vendors are frantically sweeping goods.The CPU capacity of Intel's network server in 2026 has been basically sold out.In order to give priority to the high-return enterprise market,Intel tilted more than 80%of its advanced production capacity to the server side,which led to a sharp decline in the supply of consumer-grade CPU.The cost of foundry,raw materials and packaging of superimposed wafers rose across the board,which was driven by the imbalance between supply and demand and cost pressure,thus triggering the price adjustment of the whole product line.This price increase is a landmark event for AI computing power to reconstruct semiconductor supply and demand,which will continue to push up the cost of computing hardware in the short term and accelerate the transformation of the industry to a multi-architecture in the long term.
